Almost nine years ago, I walked into the ultra beautiful space at D*FIT and began a life changing journey that becomes increasingly important for my physical and mental health. I began instructing barre just over 7 years ago and remain a student at the many amazing classes offered. From spin, to yoga to TRX, D*FIT has it all. The team of trainers is highly skilled, creative and dedicated! I feel compelled to write this review now as I am so impressed with the response made to our current reality of staying home. D*FIT quickly adapted and moved to a virtual platform that includes live classes and an online studio. Now more than ever, this studio is a key part of if my health and happiness. Nope! Most of our clients start just like you. We assess each new client’s fitness level while matching them with a FITloft personal trainer. Then our workouts are “universally scaled”, with a different version of each days workout designed for every level. As you level up you can take on more challenging variants of the workout if you desire. Also, all fitness levels are welcome in our group training classes, as modifications will always be provided. As you level up, you can take on progressions if you desire. Sign up today!

When you start at FITloft, your fitness level will improve quickly, usually in the first 30 days.

The key to see results is consistency and commitment over time so that’s why we recommend 3 classes per week as a start.

You’ll be sore some days, so allow yourself recovery days between training sessions at first – over the course of the following months work up towards 5 days per week if you want to maximize! Sign up today!

Some days classes are more strength focused, where you will focus on our lifts slowing the pace and building muscle. Movements like barbell squats, kettlebell swings, and occasionally some Olympics lifts deadlifts will be included.
 
Other days classes incorporate more cardio and conditioning, using rowers, bikes, and bodyweight intervals.

Each class is 45 or 60 minutes and led by qualified certified Group Fitness Instructors. We always start together with a warm-up designed to activate the muscles being used in the workout. The fitness instructor will brief on the group on the workout, and the movements, and will guide proper form throughout. During the workout, the instructor will be guiding and providing “direction”.
 
At the end of class, we will cool down together to accelerate recovery and reduce potential injury. Sign up today!

Ashleigh is originally from sunny Southern California. Her passion for fitness began at a young age through dance and musical theatre. Throughout her career as a theatre professional, she relied on fitness to be her best self on-stage, and off. Group fitness became such a passion, she made it into a career. She’s certified in Barre and Pilates, and has taught dance for all ages for over a decade. As a busy working mom of two little kids, she knows how challenging it is to carve out time for yourself, but truly believes that movement and music are medicine for the soul.
She lives in West Orange with her husband and 2 children, and when she’s not at the studio… she’s probably at Disney!

Mackenzie Ferrara

Living an active lifestyle since childhood, Mackenzie grew up competitively dancing and playing lacrosse, eventually getting into kickboxing and weight training. Health and fitness have always been a priority from ensuring she is fueling her body properly, to making time for exercise and movement. Eventually, she took her passion for kickboxing to the next level by becoming a certified boxing and weight training instructor. When she’s not at the gym or working her day-job at an influencer marketing technology company, you can find her outdoors; surfing, skiing, hiking, or adventuring with her husband and dogs. Mackenzie thrives in nature, she’s a big heart, laidback with an optimistic attitude, many have said it’s infectious when around her!
 
 
Q: What is your favorite way to relax or de-stress?
 
A: “One of my favorite ways to relax or de-stress is a good sauna session or even a cold plunge. Both have their unique ways of relaxing me while de-stressing me and keeping me present. Aside from that, any time spent in nature, but especially something like surfing or skiing”

I would back pack through Asia. To experience a mixture of vibrant culture, delicious food and historical sites. From Singapore to Tokyo to see futuristic technology and traditional temples. SANDRA CORCIONE

Personal Trainer

Sandra is a transplant from California. She became a fitness coach to help people let go of their limited beliefs, discover their physical potential, and embrace fitness as a life journey, not a temporary activity. “Our bodies can do so much more than we let them. We just need to challenge it, let go of our fears or embarrassment and be patient with the process.”

Sandra loves running. She successfully completed two 100-mile races, the iconic Western States 100-Mile race in 2014 and Zion 100-mile race in 2018 with many 50K, 50 milers and 100K races in between. It was through her passion for running that she found a love for general fitness and learned the importance of flexibility, mobility, and strength training not only in life in general, but also in sports performance. Though she is not able to run long distance anymore, her happy place is still the trails!

Sandra also loves to travel, food, wine, and serving communities in need. She lives with her husband and their two spoiled fur babies Burpee, a sheepadoodle and Zion, a tabby domestic short hair cat.

Interesting fact: If I had a superpower, it would be to heal people from injuries so they can continue to do the activities they love!
